Battling Corona is a challenge

The fears and trauma of approaching a difficult recent discovered illness are really terrible.

By now many of us know about the dos and don’ts for Safety against Corona virus proliferation. Not only this the good factor is that everyone is advocating and sharing messages and articles regarding the same. Though it’s a positive thing amidst all this the fake news creators are also increasing their content around the globe. So, it’s important for us to follow the updates of WHO and UNICEF for authenticity. We need to keep a check on how much information about the disease is just good enough for us. It's not necessary for us to google Corona news the whole day, to read all Whatsapp forwards and Facebook/Instagram feeds. We need to know when to stop. Not everyone can handle the negativity through these news updates. When we follow complete precautions and self-isolation we do a good job. Many celebrities and Bollywood actors are creating videos for more awareness. One of the trending hit is #CoronaStopKaroNa by Kartik Aryan.

Indian PM Modi also appealed to the population of the country to participate in the Janta curfew on 22 March 2020.  This initiative of social distancing and self-isolation is a very appreciable step towards battling the challenging virus. The community spread can be prevented by the individual responsibility of everyone. The viable time of this virus Covid19 is variable on different surfaces and the maximum is found to be around 72 hours on surfaces like plastic.

Amid all this chaos we still have morons among us who are not ready to understand the severity of the situation. The government is trying to take possible measures by canceling over more than 180 trains, shutting down the Delhi international airport for around one week and much more. Chandigarh city is under section 144. All this is being done to avoid the mega-spread of the virus. The public transport vehicles are being disinfected, the cities are being disinfected. But the maximum disinfection of the minds of the people is required at the moment who are still not behaving as responsible human beings. I have come across the people around me who even now are saying that whatever is going to happen will happen we need not change our routines. This is mere stupidity for which the entire humanity will have to pay.

Today my household full-time maid had to leave for the village with her family for some religious rituals over there as the Navratri is approaching. I tried to educate the family about the crisis and PM Modi’s appeal to stay maximum at your homes and avoid travel and mass gatherings. But as a matter of fact, the stubborn minds are never ready to agree. The girl, my maid had passed high school but the parents are illiterate. She cried and told me to persuade her family not to go as she had a phone and was aware due to WhatsApp forwards and listened to our place. I explained to them that God is everywhere and Mata Rani blesses us if we do good for mankind but ignorance has no limits. They left for their village because people in their vicinity guided them it is nothing serious. Anyway, may God bless them.

It’s really the right time to rise above the religious boundaries, region boundaries and language confines to fight against the devastating pandemic as a human with a pure heart and a pure soul.

This self-isolation is going to offer us quality time with our families and loved ones, so let’s do our best to be a better human. Being human we need to have empathy towards our employees and working staff because both they and we are at risk. So, giving them off must not be painful. Let it be a blessing in disguise to make ourselves, our children and our family members more self-dependent.  This self-isolation period is going to teach everyone a lot, so, be ever ready for new lessons. On the other hand, this is going to be a tough time for many those who cannot handle stress and face anxiety related to health issues. Talking it out to someone reliable can be done to avoid unnecessarily overburden of thoughts. Let's all promise to be there for others with compassion to give moral support without socializing physically. Follow a proper self-care routine during these days by doing something creative like painting, reading, cooking, and meditation. Don't forget to practice deep breathing. Watching Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hotstar may be another good option for a change. You may also try watching Kapil Sharma episodes though not new they will still change your energy.

One more insight which I got while I woke up this morning was that why not we practice bathing twice a day to minimize the chances of spread, just give it a thought. As the number of Covid19 positive cases in the vicinity will increase, the threat of the monster is going to increase. So, we all need to be strong to be prepared for the outcomes. Many people say that it had been predicted priorly by many astrologists, written in books, said in motivational quotes and speech by Bill Gates and blah blah blah. But the note to remember is that precautions are needed to be taken by all of us being self-responsible. Doing No Karma is never the solution to anything. We all need to believe in the power of good karma and that really is what is best for mankind.

Good luck and power to you all to face the pandemic.
