Living your life to the fullest is a method that will take you your whole life to create. Don’t get irritated if it takes you a while to grasp some things, or if you experience setbacks. This is a natural slice of life.

Be honest with yourself and others. Dishonesty saps away happiness and energy. When we aren’t honest with ourselves, we hold ourselves back from progress and learning. When we aren’t honest with others, we damage intimacy and trust. A study has shown that sometimes we lie as we’re jealous and need to hurt others. Sometimes, we lie as we’re afraid we will be hurt if we reveal the fact, or we’re afraid of a confrontation. It can be tough to be honest, especially with yourself, but doing so will support you to live a fuller, richer life.

Learn to accept yourself. All too often, we spend a lot of time looking at what we think should be different, what we don’t like about ourselves, and what we’d like to change. Spending all your time concentrated on what you don’t like or what occurs in your past denotes that you aren’t able to concentrate on your future. Make a conscious decision to grasp to love yourself, just as you are. Make a note of your strengths. What are you good at? These can be high achievements, such as inventing a new technology, or everyday skills, such as being friendly to others. Embrace flexibility. One of the reasons we become irritated is that we expect matters to stay the same. However, life is full of change. Open yourself to the method of change and progress, and grasp to adapt to the new circumstances and challenges that occur.

Care for your body. Part of living life to the fullest is taking care of your own body cells. You only get one; make certain it’s able to carry you through your life of learning and adventure. Eat a healthy diet. Ignore meals that are high in empty calories and sugar. Eat plenty of fresh vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, and complex carbohydrates. Don’t deprive yourself, though; it’s perfectly healthy to have a chunk of cake or a glass of wine from time to time.

Rather than just recording every single matter that occurs to you, use your journal to reflect on the circumstance you experience. How did you initially react? How did that circumstance make you feel at first? Do you emotion differently now?

Laugh. Laughter really is a nice medicine. Laughter releases endorphins and lowers stress hormones, your body’s natural mood elevators. It burns calories and sends oxygen to your body cells, supporting you to feel more healthy and positive. Laughter is also contagious; when you express joy through laughter, others are likely to share it with you. Laughing together can develop social and emotional bonds.

Simplify your needs. Your possessions can end up possessing you. A decluttered house full of things won’t make you happy. Make an active decision to have simple daily requirements. A study has shown that often, a preoccupation with material goods is a manner of covering up some deeper requirements. Have what you want, and require only what you have.

Interacting With Others
Think about who surrounds you.
Faith it or not, humans can catch feelings as easily as we catch colds. If you spend a lot of time with persons who are positive and funloving, you’re more likely to feel that manner yourself. If you spend a lot of time with humans who are focused on negativity, that will rub off on you as well. Surround yourself with persons who respect you, care for you and others, and enrich your life.

Discuss your needs with others. Learn to communicate assertively (but not aggressively) can assist you to feel fulfilled, stronger, and more confident. Assertive communication acknowledges that both you and others have requirements, and works to give everyone a manner to be heard.

Love everyone. Be selfless in your behavior towards others. One of the greatest things that hold us back in our lives is our focus on the plan that we deserve certain matters. This feeling can result in feelings of anger and dissatisfaction. Give love, care without expecting it to be returned. Love others even when it’s tough.

Forgive yourself and others. Forgiveness is good for your soul and your body. Forgiving can be incredibly tough, but it also lowers your heart rate, reduces stress, and decreases your blood pressure. Forgiveness can support you to feel fulfilled and cheerful even if the other person never acknowledges the wrongdoing.

Give back. Be selfless in service to others. Begin with your close neighbor. Do charitable service outside of your immediate group as well. Giving back will not only make you better as a human, but it will also support others.
