CORONAVIRUS The Guide To Aware

"New infection discoveries come as a challenge in front of the expertise scientist groups of the world"

The Coronavirus was first observed in the Wuhan District of China in December 2019. The virus is believed to be spread through the live animal market of that place. This virus spread soon to many parts of the world December end was a holiday month of New Year so, many people traveled from there to different places of the planet. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses found both in animals and humans. Some of these affect the people and are known to cause sickness ranging from the common cold to more severe illness such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome(MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome(SARS).

This infection with 2019-nCoV can cause respiratory problems with moderate symptoms including runny nose, sore throat, cough, and fever. It can be even highly severe for a few people leading to pneumonia or breathing difficulties. Sometimes the disease could be fatal. Older population and people with pre-existing medical ailments such as heart diseases or diabetes appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely sick with the virus.

Detailed investigations of the past have revealed that SARS-CoV was transmitted from Civet cats to humans in China in 2002 and MERS-CoV from dromedary camels to humans in Saudi Arabia in 2012. Several known Corona Viruses are known to circulate in animals that still have not infected humans. This 2019-nCoV is the most recent and it's studies have revealed that it cannot be spread from pet animals. It could be that a source from the live animal market in China was responsible for some of the first reported human infections. This Capital of China's Hubei province reported 41 people with pneumonia without any clear cause and thus, the viral outbreak became a piece of breaking news. You may protect yourself while visiting live animal markets by avoiding direct unprotected contact with live animals and surface in contact with animals. The consumption of raw or undercooked non-vegetarian products should also be avoided.

This Coronavirus which causes respiratory sickness can be transmitted from man to man usually after close contact with an infected patient in a household, workplace or healthcare center. Due to this a lot of panics have been created in the world. We must read properly about the issue on social media and health journals and WHO reports and should circulate the preventive measures about the same in our groups. Also, we must tell the people to read some positive attitude quotes about life who seem to talk negatively about the situation spreading fear all around without proper information.

Wearing a medical mask can help in limiting the spread of some respiratory diseases. Other preventive measures such as hand and respiratory hygiene and avoiding close contact of at least 1m or 30 feet distance between you and other people are to be kept in mind. We would also suggest you avoid traveling to China for a while. Many governments have stopped the e-visa facility to the country for the time being. No antibiotics work against viruses so prevention is the best way to tackle the Global Epidemic.

An important preventive measure could also be to avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth unnecessarily. Hands touch many surfaces that may be contaminated with the virus. If you touch your mouth, eyes or nose with your contaminated hands, the chances to transfer the virus increase. Many aerodromes and train terminals have added temperature checks, health memorandum, and information signage in an attempt to identify carriers of the virus.

The travel sector has provided refunds and no-fee cancellations for reservations in China or by people from China. Hong Kong raised its infection disease response level to the highest and declared an emergency closing of schools. The outbreak has been declared as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) by the World Health Organization(WHO) based on the possible effects that the virus could have spread to countries with weaker healthcare systems. This has been the sixth declaration of this kind to date.

In India, Kerela has confirmed three cases of the Novel Corona Virus. All three students are the ones who returned from Wuhan. Many countries around the world are stepping up efforts to tackle this new Corona Virus. It is a Global Emergency declared by WHO.

When all the expertise scientists are busy fighting away the deadly Coronavirus, we here must pray for everyone in the world to stay safe from the epidemic. A little bit of awareness about the threat and some preventive measures can be of great help. Good luck to everyone to fight the beast.
