The issue with happiness is that no one really knows exactly what it is. It’s intangible, even a little mysterious, yet still we all require to be happy. But attempting to be happy is like trying to get to sleep; the harder and more you try, the less likely it is to happen.

Explore some practices that can cover you to stop concentrating so hard on the idea of happiness and instead embrace the thoughts and experiences that will actually make you happy.

 Take the word “happy” out of your vocabulary. We all understand words that are used to communicate plans.  Make serving others a regular habit. One key habit of unhappy human that we often don’t talk about is that they are inherently self-centered. This doesn’t signify that they are false people by any means. It just means their brain spends a disproportionate amount of time concentrated on the self.                                                      Serving others is one method to break this pattern of attention from how am I feeling? To how are you feeling? There is a lot of research that shows that giving to others is more rewarding than receiving.

 Separate your happiness from your achievements. We all want to grasp to separate our happiness from our achievements. It’s fine to feel content with our life simply as we have an inherent sense of self-worth. Reaching our aims can obviously bolster this emotion and provide us a deep sense of accomplishment, but the absence of achievement should not signify the absence of happiness.

 Don’t force yourself to be positive all the time. There’s a lot of advice in the spiritual circles and self-help community about being positive. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the best advice. It’s better to be positive when you are actually emotion positive than it is to be positive when you’re emotion negative.

 Remove things that prevent happiness. This is actually a lot more necessary than exploring things to make you happy. Are you in a toxic relationship? Do you dislike your job? Are you eating a lot of unhealthy food? These matters all want to go before you begin to seek happiness; otherwise, they can hold you back and you may never be satisfied.

If only we’d stop attempting to be cheerful and happy we’d have a pretty great time ahead.

 Be okay with okay. When persons ask you, how’s your relationship going? How’s work? How’s the new city? Don’t you feel compelled to say really nice! even when it’s not?                                                                             We’re so conditioned to emotion like we want to have the best of everything that okay just isn’t good enough for most of us.                                                                                                                                                           Learn to be okay with okay is a much better structure toward permitting things to become great than is anxiously wishing that they already were.

 Get out of your comfort zone. Getting out of your comfort zone is bright not only for your sense of self-worth, but it also provides your brain a flush of endorphins and a huge adrenaline dump.                                               You’ll understand when you’re getting out of your comfort zone when you feel anxious before doing something, but you do it anyway, as you identify it is beneficial to you in the long run. Afterward, you’ll often feel a sense of self-worth and a huge relief at having done something you were fear to do.                                 Depending on your own circumstance you might explore this in traveling to new places, meeting new persons, try new activities (bungee jumping, public speaking, scuba diving etc.), or even just meditating through false emotions.

 Look after your body. From muscular tension that can trap emotions to bacterial imbalances in your gut and serotonin production, your body is the number one vehicle that will permit you to experience satisfaction and joy, so treat it with love and care.

 Meditate daily. This is a no brainer as familiar with the psychological and physical health benefits of meditation and mindfulness.                                                                                                                                   Meditation is long, slow, and you often you don’t see the in-depth benefits for a long time; in fact, when you are beginning out, it can often seem like a complete leap of faith.  Meet new people.
